This May, Sehome Drama's spring musical "Annie" brought the house down on the Little Theatre stage with seven incredible performances!
Sehome's "Annie" inspired audiences with the adventures of a little Orphan girl trying to find a home in 1930s New York City. With her spirited ingenuity and endless optimism, Annie enlists the help of wealthy industrialist Oliver Warbucks in her search for her missing parents. The promise of a reward attracts con artists Rooster, Lily and the wicked Miss Hannigan, who hatch a plot to kidnap Annie and take the $50,000 for themselves. This classic family musical has a happy ending for Annie, Warbucks, Sandy the dog, and the whole gang and SHS audiences enjoyed the heart-warming classic all about finding your way home.
The performance showcased the hard work of more than 70 performers including actors, dancers, musicians, crew members and more. With rotating walls, and a hand-painted cityscape backdrop, audiences were transported into Annie's world.
With an incredible cast and crew, beautiful music and show stopping numbers like "NYC", "Hard-Knock Life” and “Tomorrow”, each performance of "Annie" left audiences delighted and inspired.
